Mail Call from Judy in Illinois!

Collection Details
Just received an incredible collection in the mail from Judy in Illinois, and this one is extra special—everything is still sealed in the original blister packs!
For anyone new, blister packs are the original retail packaging Hot Wheels came in—cars sealed in a clear plastic bubble attached to a cardboard backing. Finding vintage pieces still in these unopened packs is a big deal, since most were opened and played with, making sealed examples much harder to come by today.
This collection also included some fun additions like Rrrumblers and Revvers, which always bring a little extra personality to a lineup.
A couple standout pieces:
The Open Fire is one of the more unique castings from the Redline era, featuring an exposed engine and a sleek, low-slung body that really captures that late-60s experimental design style. It has a futuristic dragster feel and looks especially sharp in bright Spectraflame colors.
The Mercedes C-111 is based on a real experimental concept car from the early 1970s. The actual car was developed by Mercedes-Benz as a test platform for rotary (Wankel) engines and later diesel performance testing. With its gullwing doors and bold, aerodynamic shape, it stood out both in real life and as a Hot Wheels casting. The bright orange versions are especially iconic and instantly recognizable.
Always exciting to open a box and find pieces that have been preserved like this for decades. Definitely one of those collections that takes you right back to the golden era of Hot Wheels.
If you or someone you know has any Hot Wheels Redlines tucked away, feel free to reach out and message me—always happy to talk Redlines!
