Classic ‘57- Bird

The 1957 Ford Thunderbird holds a special place in the hearts of American classic car enthusiasts. Mattel's tribute to this iconic roadster, known as the "Classic '57-Bird," quickly became a favorite among Hot Wheels collectors and Ford fans alike.

Hot Wheels' rendition of the 1957 T-Bird, the last of the four classic Fords featured in their 1969 lineup, was exclusively manufactured in the U.S. for at least two years. It boasted a range of features, including an opening hood, a clear windshield, a shiny "chrome" grille and bumpers, and came with either a white or brown interior.

Inside, the attention to detail continued with a spacious dashboard, a center console, stylish bucket seats complemented by a matching steering wheel, and a built-in headrest designed to protect the driver, concealing a roll bar situated just behind the trunk lid.

Notably, early production models sported a black-painted grille and are now considered rare collectibles. This '57 All American Classic was equipped with smaller wheels on the front axles and medium-sized ones at the rear, adding to its distinctive charm.
