Bone Line Custom Mustang

This collection came from Ernest in Texas. One of the highlight cars in his collection is the Bone Line Custom Mustang, a casting based on the 1967 Fastback, which was popularized by Steve McQueen's movie "Bullitt". The Mustang was one of the original 16 Hot Wheels models made by Mattel in 1968, along with other custom muscle cars such as the Camaro, Cougar, and Barracuda.

During its first year of production, the Hot Wheels Custom Mustang underwent several changes, making for an intriguing variation in the different castings. Made in both the United States and Hong Kong, each casting featured an opening hood. However, upon closer inspection, many significant differences become apparent between the two versions.

If you or anyone you know has any REDLINES Hot Wheels from the 1960’s-1970’s, shoot me a message!
