1970- Ambulance

Introduced in the 1970 Hot Wheels lineup, the Ambulance is part of "The Heavyweights" series, a fresh addition featuring emergency and construction vehicles. Exclusive to the Hong Kong plant, all Heavyweights, including the Ambulance, were produced for about two years. Mattel's rendition of the Ambulance blends the features of a van and a short-bed pickup truck. Boasting a sizable blue-tinted windshield and a white plastic camper shell with a lift-up door at the back, this model showcases a blue transparent emergency light on top. Additionally, three red medical crosses adorn the vehicle – one on the rear door and one on each side. The Ambulance is fitted with medium wheels on both front and rear axles.
