Mail Call from Tim in Arizona!

Collection Details
Just received a nice little collection from Tim in Arizona! Always fun seeing what shows up in the mail.
Two standouts right away are the USA Red Custom Mustang and the Green Custom Cougar—both classic Redline-era pieces with a lot to appreciate.
The Custom Mustang was one of the original Hot Wheels releases from 1968, based on the 1967 Ford Mustang. It featured a modified, “custom” look with an exposed engine, which really captured that late-60s hot rod culture. The USA Red version is especially eye-catching.
The Custom Cougar, also released in 1968, was modeled after the Mercury Cougar—Ford’s more upscale, performance-oriented sibling to the Mustang. Like many early castings, it had an opening hood and a sleek, slightly more refined design. The green Spectraflame finish gives it that signature Redline shine that never gets old.
Always exciting to add a couple of originals like these to the collection—especially with colors this sharp.
If you or someone you know has any Hot Wheels Redlines tucked away, feel free to reach out and message me—always happy to talk Redlines!

1968- Custom Cougar
Another great Redline— this is a 1968 Hot Wheels Redline Custom Cougar in olive with a black roof and tan interior. The Custom Cougar was based on the 1967 Mercury Cougar two-door coupe.

1968- Custom T-Bird
The Custom T-Bird was based on the 1967 Thunderbird two-door Landau, a car known for its sleek, squared-off styling and luxury feel during the late ‘60s. Hot Wheels gave it a sportier, custom twist.
