Another exciting mail call! Just picked up a great collection from Charles in Louisiana—40 cars total with a really fun mix.
The standout has to be the insane bubble gum hot pink Custom Volkswagen. This one always turns heads. A fun fact about the 1968 Custom Volkswagen: it was Hot Wheels’ very first take on the VW Beetle, but with a twist—it featured a blown V-8 engine, center steering wheel, and custom styling inspired by a 1960s model kit, making it more of a wild show car than a traditional Beetle.
Always a thrill adding pieces like this to the collection.
